Your Hotel in Obertauern Directly on the Ski Slope

Obertauern – Where Snow is at Home

Located at an altitude of 1,650 to 2,313 meters above sea level, Obertauern is a top-class ski area, and it’s not for nothing that they say snow is at home here. More than 100 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes – 61 km easy (blue), 35 km intermediate (red), and 4 km difficult (black) runs, state-of-the-art lift facilities, cozy huts, and great après-ski are guaranteed here.

Blue, Red & Black Tauern Circuit

12 km of Piste Fun

The so-called Tauern Circuit – 12 kilometers of slope fun clockwise and counterclockwise – offers descents for every taste and skill level. From family-friendly runs to the absolute challenge in white or black – the Gamsleiten 2 – the spectrum of perfectly maintained slopes in Obertauern covers it all.

For repeat rides, the slopes outside the Tauern Circuit are also gladly used for variety. Red and green signs at entry points and intersections show the right way.

Grosseck-Speiereck Ski Area

in Mauterndorf / St. Michael

There is a ticket alliance between the Obertauern ski area and Grosseck/Speiereck in Mauterndorf / St. Michael in Salzburg’s Lungau region.

Multi-day ski passes (from 1.5 days, no point cards) are therefore also valid in the Grosseck/Speiereck ski area, located 15 km south of Obertauern. The ski bus there can be used free of charge with a valid ski pass (except for group tickets!).

This can be a good option, especially in bad weather or strong winds, because the weather there is usually a bit calmer than in Obertauern.

Après-Ski

Never Ending Party

Obertauern is now known far beyond its borders for its après-ski scene. Numerous huts, umbrellas, and après-ski venues invite you to celebrate extensively. And in the evening, the party naturally continues in one of the many nightclubs.
