Whether in the middle of the Obertauern ski area or at the idyllic Schattensee in Styria: our two huts are special retreats for connoisseurs, nature lovers and all those who love the original. Authentic, warm and full of regional flavor – this is where coziness meets genuine hut magic.
In winter: Schaidberg Stubn
Stop off, relax & enjoy in ObertauernThe Schaidbergstubn is our rustic lodge at the valley station of the 6-seater Schaidbergbahn. It is the perfect place for an enjoyable break during the Tauernrunde or for a cozy end to the day after skiing. Regional specialties, homemade pastries, a friendly team and a spacious sun terrace make the Stubn a popular meeting place in Obertauern.
Open daily from the end of November to mid-April – without a day off.
In summer: Fischerhütte am Schattensee
An excursion tip for connoisseurs & those seeking peace and quietA very special place awaits you in summer in Styria: The Fischerhütte am Schattensee is a charming snack station in the midst of untouched nature, located directly on the banks of the Schattensee. Whether hiking through the Styrian Krakau or looking for deceleration – the hut is the perfect destination for a relaxing break. Hearty snacks, warm classics and homemade strudel are served – lovingly prepared with regional ingredients.
A unique highlight at the Schattensee is the traditional water target shooting, where you don’t aim and shoot at the target itself, but at its reflection in the water.
Open from the end of May to mid-October – daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM – closed on Mondays.
