General terms and conditions of the Hotel Solaria in Obertauern
General Terms and Conditions
Booking and cancellation conditions
With the booking of a room by the guest and the subsequent sending of the booking confirmation, an accommodation contract is concluded between the guest and Hotel Solaria, hereinafter referred to as the accommodation provider, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Austrian Hotel Association.
To secure the contract, the accommodation provider requires a deposit of 30% (maximum EUR 200 per person) of the booked price no later than 7 days after booking – or by a date specified in the booking confirmation. The bank details for the transfer of the deposit will be provided with the booking confirmation.
Arrival and departure: The booked rooms are available from 14.00 on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, please vacate your room by 10.30 am at the latest.
As an accommodation provider, we strongly recommend that you take out hotel cancellation insurance, as the following cancellation costs are incurred in the event of cancellation:
- Free cancellation up to 3 months before arrival. A deposit paid will be credited towards a future stay within the next 12 months.
- Cancellation from 3 months to 1 month before arrival: A cancellation fee of 40% of the booked room price will be charged.
- Cancellation from 1 month to 1 week before arrival: A cancellation fee of 70% of the booked room price will be charged.
- Cancellation from 1 week before arrival: A cancellation fee of 90% of the booked room price will be charged.
In the event of departure before the booked departure date (notification by 22:00 on the previous day at the latest, rooms must be vacated by 10:30) or arrival after the booked arrival date, 90% of the agreed room price will also be charged for the remaining nights.
In the case of bookings made at short notice (including by telephone), an accommodation contract is also concluded in accordance with the Austrian Hotel Contract Conditions. Therefore, the same cancellation fees will be charged in the event of a cancellation or no-show.
Reservations made by telephone without a deposit can only be held until 18:00 on the day of arrival, unless we receive notification of a later arrival.
Otherwise, the terms and conditions of the Austrian Hotel Association apply.
Payment: You are welcome to pay your bill in cash, by debit card or credit card (MasterCard and Visa).
Please note that no deduction can be made for meals not consumed. Half board begins with dinner on the day of arrival and ends with breakfast on the day of departure.
Terms of use for guest WLAN at the Hotel Solaria Obertauern
The Hotel Solaria offers its guests the free use of wireless internet access (WLAN) for the duration of their stay.
Use of the WLAN is at your own risk and peril. No liability is accepted for any damage to the guest’s end devices or data resulting from the use of the WLAN.
Guests of Hotel Solaria are also not authorized to allow third parties to use this WLAN.
Hotel Solaria is not obliged to guarantee the actual availability, suitability or reliability of this Internet access within the scope of this free shared use and is also entitled at any time to restrict access completely, partially or temporarily or to exclude it from use. Hotel Solaria is also entitled to block access to certain websites or services via the WLAN.
The prerequisite for using the WLAN is that the guest agrees to these terms of use via a welcome page. The current version of these terms and conditions of use, which is made available to the guest at the time of consent, shall apply.
Furthermore, Hotel Solaria may change, restrict or discontinue this access at any time. The guest is aware that the WLAN only provides access to the Internet. Hotel Solaria does not provide any additional security measures (e.g. virus protection, firewall, etc.). The content accessed is also not subject to any checks by Hotel Solaria.
The guest is responsible for the data transmitted via the WLAN, the services used and the legal transactions carried out. If the guest makes use of third-party services via the WLAN, the resulting costs shall be borne by the guest.
In particular, the guest
- not illegally reproduce, distribute or make publicly accessible any works protected by copyright; this applies in particular in connection with uploading and downloading with file-sharing programs or similar offers;
- not use the WLAN to access or distribute immoral or illegal content;
- observe applicable youth protection regulations;
- not send or disseminate any derogatory, defamatory or threatening content;
- not use the WLAN to send spam and/or other forms of unauthorized advertising.
The guest shall indemnify Hotel Solaria against all damages and claims by third parties that are attributable to unlawful use of the WLAN by the guest and/or to a breach of this agreement. This indemnification also extends to the costs and expenses associated with the claim or defense against it.
The guest is aware that every use of the WLAN is documented and archived by Hotel Solaria with IP address, MAC address, date and duration in order to hold Hotel Solaria harmless as far as necessary and to prove which user used the WLAN at what time.
Smoking ban
There is an absolute smoking ban in our entire hotel. Any violation of this rule will result in a contractual penalty of EURO 250. If a room cannot be used due to smoke, the person responsible will be charged the full loss of earnings for the duration that the room cannot be rented.
Fire alarm system – BMA
Our automatic fire alarm system, BMA for short, is used for the early detection of a possible fire and makes a significant contribution to the safety of our guests. A fire alarm system is a system of smoke detectors and the fire alarm control panel with corresponding alarm functions and forwarding to the fire department. Smoke detectors are located in generally accessible areas and in the individual guest rooms.
If the fire alarm system is triggered due to improper behavior or manipulation of the system, the perpetrator shall bear the costs incurred (e.g. expenses for the fire department, fire alarm system technician, etc.) in the amount of at least EUR 750. In addition, this will be reported to the police and we reserve the right to expel the person(s) in question from the premises.
ATTENTION: The smoke detectors are extremely sensitive, not only to smoke, but also to aerosols (such as deodorant or hairspray) but also to vapor from e-cigarettes, etc.
